Their Love Story Began ....

Our story began in the hospital, several years ago, when life brought us together at just the right time. Both of us were searching for a partner to share life’s journey, and what started as two paths crossing has grown into a life built together. We truly believe that some meetings are meant to happen exactly when they are supposed to, and we feel so fortunate that this was ours.

As our lives have become one, we are deeply grateful for the people who have shaped our journey. Each of you holds a special place in our story (even if you didn't learn that till recently), and we could not imagine celebrating without you.

It is our greatest joy to invite you to join us in one of the most romantic places in the world, where we can celebrate love—ours, yours, and the love we all share as family and friends.

WHERE TO STAY

Cernobbio & Como

We warmly invite you to stay in the charming town of Cernobbio, the location of our wedding. Nestled along the western shore of Lake Como, Cernobbio is known for its picturesque lakeside promenade, elegant villas, and relaxed atmosphere with delightful cafes, lidos and restuarant bars.

On the wedding day, transportation will be provided from the hotels listed below. If you prefer to stay in private accommodations, please ensure that your location is within walking distance of either the listed hotel or our venue, Villa Erba, to make the most of the transportation arrangements.

Traveling to Lake Como, Italy

Passport & Visa Information

Starting in 2026, there will be another necessary requirement for Canadian travelers—an approved visa waiver through the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS). ETIAS is an electronic visa waiver that will pre-screen non-EU citizens who do not need a visa for short trips to the Schengen Area.

We encourage guests to have 6 months validity on their passports when entering Europe.

GETTING TO LAKE COMO

Our wedding location is in the town of Cernobbio on Lake Como.

If you intend to book an airport transfer, we recommend doing this 2 months in advance.

Fly into Milan Malpensa (MXP)

• A: 20 min Malpensa Express train ride to Saronno and then take a 40-50 min train from Saronno to Como Nord Lago (in the town of Como); from here you’ll need to taxi or walk to your hotel

• B: 50 min Malpensa Express train ride to Milano Centrale (or take the bus), and then take a 40 min train ride from Milano Centrale station to Como San Giovanni station (in the center of the town of Como); from here you’ll need to taxi or walk to your hotel

• Book a car service direct from the airport to your hotel (most convenient), approx €200-300

Fly to Milan Linate (LIN)

From Linate, your options for getting to Como are:

• Taxi or a ~25 min shuttle bus to the Milan Centrale Train Station and then take a 40 min train ride to Como San Giovanni station. From here you’ll need to taxi or walk to your hotel.

• Book a car service direct from the airport to your hotel (most convenient), approx €125-150 and 1 hr driving time

Fly into Milan Bergamo (BGY)

From Bergamo, your options for getting to Como are more lengthy by public transport because this airport is not actually anywhere near Milan, but are as follows:

• 15 min shuttle bus ride to Bergamo station and then take a train to Como S. Giovanni via Milan Centrale Station (Ride ranges from 2-2.5 hours), then taxi to your hotel.

• 50 min shuttle bus ride from BGY airport to Milano Centrale station, then take a 40-minute train ride from Milano Centrale station to Como S. Giovanni station (in the center of the town of Como); from here you’ll need to taxi to your hotel.

• Book a car service direct from the airport to your hotel (most convenient), approx €300 and 1.5 hr journey.

Airport Taxi Services & Transport

Traveling by taxi can be the fastest but most expensive way to get around. Your hotel concierge can arrange taxi service, or sometimes a few may be queued outside of train stations.

We have a list of taxi companies for your airport transfer as well as companies based within popular villages around Lake Como. Please note taxis are very hard to come by and should be arranged in advance.

GETTING AROUND LAKE COMO

Cernobbio is next to Como, both small towns on the shores of Lake Como. Como is accessible by two main train stations but Cernobbio is not and you need further bus to Cernobbio from a Como train station. We highly recommend staying in Cernobbio in order to easily access the wedding events. The wedding villa can be accessed by car, taxi or boat so if you book your accommodation in another part of Lake Como, please arrange a private transport to and from the villa. Be aware that staying within the mid-lake section (Bellagio, Tremezzo, Varenna) may present up to 1hr-1:30 travel time to the events and in some cases unexpected road closures.

Malpensa Express

If you choose to arrive to Milan Malpensa airport (T1 or T2), there is an express train service to the Milano Centrale train station, where you can reach Milano as your destination or take the train to Como. This journey is approx 1 hr and €15. You can also use this train for some other stops in Milano in case you have booked a hotel stay there.

Train Service

Como is the only town on the western branch of the lake with a train station, so train travel is most frequently used to travel on the eastern branch.

We recommend to download the Omio travel app as its a great tool for planning trips via train across Europe.

Public Ferries

Public boat ferries are the most popular and convenient way to get to most of the towns along the shores of Lake Como.

Use the Navigazione Laghi in English to search timetables online or download their app to find the best routes and timing.

Frequent Questions

Will transportation be provided on the wedding day?

Yes! We will arrange shuttles from key accommodation points in Cernobbio and Como to and from Villa Erba. Full details and pick-up times will be confirmed closer to the date.

Can I park at the wedding venue?

Unfortunately, there is no on-site parking at the Villa. We kindly ask that you use the provided transportation or arrange a private transfer in advance through your hotel or private taxi. Please note that Uber and Lyft services are not available in the Lake Como area.

Can I bring a guest if it's not indicated on my invitation?

We are so looking forward to celebrating with our dearest family and friends. Kindly note that invitations are extended to the individuals listed by name, and any additional guests will be reflected in the number of seats reserved in your honour.

If your invitation does not include a guest, we ask that you attend on your own. We truly appreciate your understanding as we create an intimate and thoughtfully curated celebration.

Are kids welcome at the wedding?

We love children and are delighted to welcome them. That said, we hope you’ll take this chance to enjoy an evening of celebration and relaxation. If bringing your children is what makes it possible for you to join us, they will be warmly included.

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Yes – we kindly request formal black tie attire.

What will the weather be like?

Expect warm, sunny days with average highs around 30°C. It can cool off in the evenings, so a light wrap or jacket is a good idea

Do I need a visa to travel to Italy?

If you're traveling on a Canadian passport, you do not need a visa for short stays in Italy (under 90 days). Be sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates.

When should I book my travel and accommodation?

We highly recommend booking flights and accommodation by the end of 2025, as July is a busy season in Lake Como. The earlier you book, the better selection and pricing you’ll find! However, some hotel calendars will open for 2026 bookings in October 2025.

Is there a gift registry?

We know that attending our destination wedding requires time, travel, and commitment, and we could not be more grateful. We kindly request no additional gifts, joining us is more than enough.

RSVP

A formal RSVP will be required at the time of receiving your formal invitations.
